By "shoot macro", I assume you mean extremely close to the ground? Many macro shots are well above the ground.

You might do best to pick up a decent tripod like a Sirui or the Benro 'MeFoto' model (I have the MeFoto A1340Q1 and love it) for general shooting -- both are light weight and compact. Then also pick up a decent, small tabletop tripod for extremely close to ground shooting.

Not sure about the Sirui tripods, but my Benro allows reversing the center column for extremely low shooting, and one of the legs also converts to a monopod -- it's a very versatile tripod and folds to about 17in.
