First Attempt - Landscape Photography - << bit disappointed

So I woke up early this morning to try my camera capturing the city + sea from an elevated area that is overlooking the city.

I'm using the kit lens sel 16-50 on my a6000 and tried different settings. Couldn't move around much because there were corn crops everywhere.

1.) << this is the full image of the city that I wanted to photograph. If you notice there are trees on the bottom so I have decided to crop them out in the next image. It's somewhat edited in lightroom and I just played around with the settings.

exposure 1/80 f / 5.6 50mm

2.) << This is the same image that I took in 1. , I tested some settings in lightroom to see how it works. Haven't read any tutorials on lightroom editing but I have played around jpeg files ( I'm a graphic designer ).

3.) << This is the image I took and just exported directly from lightroom without editing.

4.) << I liked this shot because I took it from the right side, you can't see it in the images above it. I took a pic and cropped it to remove some trees and edited it in lightroom.

Pics were taken around 5:45 -  6:15 a.m.

No tripod

Sel 16-50 kit lens

Sony a6000 camera.

I was disappointed with the quality of images that my camera produced. Not sure what I did wrong so I'm hoping someone here with experience in landscape photography can share his/her techniques.
