I am sort of bummed out

Back in the dawn of digital, I was an avid Lumix bridge camera novice with an FZ20 (about $500?) and an FZ5. I hung in there for quite a while with them while also acquiring and using DSLRs and travel cams. I became dissatisfied with bridge cameras but have always been hoping for better ones or maybe the N1. The FZ1000 finally arrived but now I have a 4/3 kit that is the same weight, much more cost, but with more reach, and I suppose better IQ. If I didn't have it I could buy my dream superzoom but now there is no longer much advantage. There is still hope though. If the new FZ has superior AF perhaps I can justify returning to that go anywhere single lens concept again.
