Canon FDn 50mm f/1.4 on Sony A7

I read that this is maybe the best manual lens under 200$ for the A7. Anyone had experiences with this combo?

There are different versions of this lens? If yes, which should I buy and how I recognize it?

Is it contrasty enough or is it hazy like most of the legacy cheap lenses?

Is the fungus a common problem with this lens? If yes, can this be "cured" somehow, or the only solution is to have luck when I buy it and avoid the fungus?

Which cheap adaptor (under 100$) will be the best for this lens to work on the A7? I will be able to benefit from the auto metering of the camera, or I will have to post process every picture to get the right exposure?
