I specialize in portraits, and I've done quite a lot of boudoirs myself.  That aperture range will usually give you those properties.  I would practice more on nailing that thin focus and also where your lights are going extreme towards the lens.

I've never owned the 1.2, but I hear that it does have back focusing issues.  This does make it tough; however, you can always go manual.  I have to go manual with my Summilux and it's a charm.
