Now look at the SNR graph again.  See the dotted horizontal lines? 38dB green=very good, 32dB yellow/green=OK, 20dB red=minimum usable?  (The english words for the colors are mine.)

Sure it does. I don't use ISOs higher than 1600.

But you adjust the brightness in processing.  Where the graph is linear, it's pretty much the same thing.
