I just pointed out, that AF-FT had nothing to do with sharpness.

You can't tell if you have a sharp lens unless you have a focussed image.

"Sharp" can mean an excellent lens, and it can also mean an optimally focussed image. You seem to have some sort of fixation with the notion of a "sharp" lens.

Do you understand the statement that I prefer not to go on a photographic expedition with a lens that I know to be focussing sub-optimally?

Some lenses are just about unusable until they are adjusted. I had one like that; it turned out to be a very "sharp" lens, but I didn't know that until it was calibrated (AF-FT).

By the way, there's no need to "Reply with quote"; it makes the thread very long and slightly more boring than it already is.

To me there is - the replies will match - makes order.

Here you are wrong. It creates annoyance and frustration. Most people can remember the gist of a previous post; some can remember the whole thread, or maybe even a whole bunch of threads.
