Here in Berks County PA, the first weekend in June, there is a WWII memorial "reinactment" at a local airfield. There are a lot of WWII aircraft flying around. Yesterday, relatively early in the AM there was a B-17 flying overhead. I ducked inside grabbed my ZS15 an took this very quick hurried shot before it was too far away.
The second one was later in the afternoon the sky had cleared off and it flew over again. I was somewhat better prepared this time but the plane was still a good distance off.
Both images were heavily cropped, but considering everything they are not too bad.
Yesterday was the 70th aniversary of the Normandy Landings. My uncle commanded an LST there, but he never spoke of the war at all.
Unfortunately both images are of the plane moving away
