Choices..... perhaps too many?

I've been thinking about a Fuji as a walkabout cam. Which one would you recommend?
Hello Walter,
either x100s or XE-2 with a pancake (27mm) will suit you well I think
Regards
This is a good suggestion. However if you want to do it "on the cheap" look for an XE-1 or an X-Pro1 used. They have been going for fairly low prices on the used market except when I looked today on Fred Miranda they had all been sold. Perhaps people have been looking at the Fuji colors and now see a good bargain.
Take a look on the forum for discussions about the pros and cons of all the X-cams. Indeed there have been some spirited discussions of the X-trans sensor and its "unique" characteristics. Also the AF, that has been maligned in the past, is good enough for most photo situations and the MF is actually fun for us vintage folks. If you want to stick with Bayer a new XA-1 is a good bargain these days and a good cam even with the 16-50 kit lens. To get the best detail out of X-trans RAW files you may need to look at converters other than Adobe. The OOC jpegs from the cams however can be quite good and with my X-T1 I have been very satisfied to this point.
The colors and tonality appeal to many including me though they are slightly different from the S5. If asked why or to present some "facts" it may be difficult. It is more a subjective issue of taste.
Daily I carry an X-T1 with, the most, 2 lenses. It has a traditional "dslr" feel ergonomically and is extremely light compared to all the poundage we are used to dragging along. Actually it feels as if you are carrying nothing but then realize you have a very capable image-capturing machine that produces great output.
I could go on but that's it for now. I'm sure others can chime in with other issues. I think you will be satisfied with your purchase.
Be well, and when you buy your first "X" please give us your impressions.
