Panasonic cancelled long zoom they were developing
1

It looks like Panasonic was developing a long zoom which may have been faster and higher quality than the 100-300. They decided there would not be enough market. I doubt we'll see a prime longer than 150mm as well. I guess it is up to Olympus now.

"Yes, we had been considering, but looking at the overall situation, what it would take for development and what sales there would be, we decided to cancel the long telephoto zoom. We had already released 150mm, but for the zoom, we are very sorry, but this was our decision."
