Re: Would Like to See Mirrorless ESO M Expand to APS-C and FF

Everybody is talking about mirorless FF and Sony A7 and A6000. I would also love to have a light weight system that would work. But there are some issues with this:

- FF needs big heavy glass. So even if you build a light weight mirorless the overall weight of the system (camera+lenses) will be almost the same.

-mirorless cameras have crappy ergonomics and grips. If you put a heavy lens on the A7 I am sure you will feel the lack of a full size DSLR grip.

-AF is still not that great compared to DSLRs

Also you said you need low light image quality. I think no camera can beat the 6D at this actually.

I can see the place for an A7 in my bag but only as a street/holiday camera when I do not want to carry my 5D mk III. Otherwise for professional work and events, the system is not mature enough and the ergonomics are not good enough to be able to use it. And I feel it is quite a big investment to put in a holiday camera.
