F/5.6 is not nearly bright enough for anything but broad daylight. Perhaps you don't shoot a lot in low light, but I do.

How is that important for a landscape? If you shoot a landscape, why would you use f2.8? Most lenses are really sharp at f4 to f5.6 and that is what you want in a landscape (mostly). Same is true for architecture but a tripod is less handy there....

I shoot with available light, it's about as important as it gets particularly when you're shooting after the sun has gone down.

Well there is a reason why this is a 12 mm f2.0 ficed prime. That is the only way to keep it small and at a reasonable price. The alternative to what you want is the Oly 7-14 f2.8. That is quite big , quite heavy and reallye xpensive.  And mostly to keep it still handheld in lower light. My idea of landscapes is on a tripod, with f5.6 to keep it affordable mainly (and it will be rather small too).

Most landscape shot I took were at f5.6 to f11.2 (diffraction limits the upper limit here) on a tripod. Yesterday I shot at f2.8 with the 12-35 and yes: the waves were sharp, the sea behind it not and the rocks in the fron was unshap too. So I had to stop down.....Manylandscape shos I have seen have everything in focus. So fast lens not needed form that perspective....
