That shows how tough the D300 is then,I would have thought the opposite would happen.I have that lens too,it and D300 toppled off my tripod onto carpet but all stayed intact.I hate that lens but its ridiculously better at 50mm than the other end.

$500 to fix,not good at all.

I actually found the pcs today I thought I lost,seems too much jetlag.
