Re: What is "Foveon Blue"?

My (and others) point being that if you point different cameras at the same blue sky, you probably will get different 'color' output. There is no one "blue sky" or "Foveon Blue" I found it frustrating that my original DP1 didn't 'match' my SD10 or SD14 easily in 'color'

The term started, I recall, half as a joke for the INTENSE blue we often saw from the early cameras. (SD9 and SD10 especially). But then years later, Sigma added a colormode named "FV Classic Blue" which refers back to the "Foveon Classic Blue." But as noted in this thread, it isn't really the same and I find it often gives strange results, I don't think I've ever selected it as 'best' processing.

Best regards, Sandy
