I owned the Panasonic 100-300 for one year before I sold it and at a distance of three meters at 300mm there was no visible advantage compared to the Olympus 75-300.

The pictures of luisforit taken with the 50-200 + EC-14 look unusually soft and I have the impression that something is wrong with his shots.

Yes, I agree with Holger's conclusion. The test photos look very soft, this is not the lens I know.

I had both 75-300 lenses (Mk1 and 2) and I have the 50-200 now. My 50-200 is much better than my 75-300 ever were. And the 100-300 I had two weeks ago was also not very convincing.

If the smaller lenses would work good enough, I would be the first to throw away the bulky gear. But the existing mFT tele lenses are quite weak, we have to wait for the 40-150/2.8 or th e399/f4. I am sure these lenses are at least on par with the 50-200, but the current x-300mm offerings are not.

As I said in my other post: I had to do the focus-adjust procedure to get really sharp results with the EC14. I had to do it twice: one time the bare zoom and another time with the EC14 attached. The EM1 handles the lens and the lens/tc combo as completely separate lenses.

Maybe this is the thing that Luis should do too. But on the other hand I am not sure, because his photo has no front or back focus, it is simply soft. Maybe it is motion blur or the lens needs repair ...
