A Visit to Elmwood Cemetery - [8 images]

Elmwood Cemetery, in Detroit, is the oldest continuously operating cemetery in Michigan. Dating back to 1846, the cemetery is the final resting place for the famous, like members of the Ford family, as well as the common man. I had a chance to spend half a day there yesterday shooting with a close friend and wanted to share the images with you.

"Rosae Crucis"

"Dear Willie"

This young lady approached us and wanted to know what we were doing. On being told that we were amateur photographers working to capture the beauty there, she requested that we shoot an image of her by her grandmother's grave. It was her grandma's birthday and she was visiting both her grandparents to tell them that she loved them. I had promised to share it with her, which I did via email today. She called to say that she liked the image very much. Felt good to help her capture her visit to her grandma. This is the image that I shot of her:

I very seldom shoot in color but this one, I thought, worked in color too:

As always, all comments, critique, etc. welcome. Thanks for looking!
