a900 (2008) + Minolta 85/1.4G (1998): Owl portrait

The Minolta 85/1.4G is one of the best performers when it comes to beautiful bokeh. In this case, I think the background is one of those high contrast on unusual shadows situations that is tough for any lens. Having noted that, it still looks pretty good to me.

At one point last year I was on a quest to find the most difficult background yielding the harshest and least pleasing bokeh. This is the best (worst) I could do with the Minolta 85/1.4:
