Having recently read that camera sales are off by about 30% world wide. I was wondering if the rate of product releases by camera manufacturers are going to start slowing down. 2014 was Canon's "year of the lens" yet it is about 1/2 gone and only 1 new Canon lens has been announced (16-35 f/4L). All three K-mount lenses on the road map won't be heard from until at least Photokina and some maybe not even in 2014. Canon 7DII & 100-400II are still only rumours (maybe they'll be prototype at the world cup). And Sony is only releasing about 8 more cameras . Okay they are the exception.

Cheers.

Maybe, but that's a typical Bean Counter's mistake: if you want to *reduce* your market share (and viability), cut back on product development and marketing. It's a downward spiral, a Negative Feedback Loop. In a declining market, *someone* will figure out how to make money, and it won't be the Bean Counters, it will be creative thinkers and visionaries. Sadly, there don't seem to be many of those around ;(
