O.K. I didn't have any with the tree blocking the sun like Tom suggested but I tried the square crop.

First a recrop of my original post. Then a completely different shot. Then my originally posted shot for comparison.

I also worked the other photo a little. I'm not sure I helped it much but I thought I should try. The new version is first, then the original.

Love the Square, to my untrained eye, cant make out nay difference betweent he old cropped and the new cropped. both are same except the fore ground has more light in the orignal cropped vs the new cropped.



I would actually be intrested in seing the crop going the other way with the waves as the foreground and more of the sky. (understand that you wanted the seaweed as the foreground) :). Please humour me..


But love the fact that you are trying to improve your technique...(psst tbh..everyone has different perspective)
