I strongly suggest trying Olympus Viewer 3 as that will count more when writing the fault report. It will do a default conversion using the jpeg settings found in the RAW so may/not reveal what is happening.

If OV3 does not show the fault then Olympus would tend to blame Lightroom and not think the camera is at fault. If OV3 can be pushed to show the fault then you have a better chance of getting some action.

It certainly is a weird effect, like you turned on an optional "let's add lens flare" feature in the converter.

Oh yes, thanks for the kind words re my pages. They are only intermittently worked on, I seem to be busier doing concreting at the moment at home right now.
