DSLR manual focusing on Nikon D5100
Can someone comment on focusing with optical viewfinder on the Nikon D5100?
In manual mode, I have trouble using the ground glass, having been use to using a micro-prism and/or various focusing screens with my film SLR. The D5100 has focus indicators that I could look at but then I would lose concentration on the subject matter (framing while anticipating movement). Auto-focusing is generally good but I enjoy manual focusing.
For different lens, for example, I found that my 50 F1.8 lens is harder to manual focus than my Tamron F2.8 90mm macro.
Are there other DSLRs out there that would allow for better manual focusing or screen options?
