D600 manual focus; how can I make it easier?

Hi there you experienced photographers.

Some weeks ago I picked up a Meyer-Optik Orestor 135 f2.8 for only five euros.
Afterwards I discovered that this actually is good lens.

So, I got a Kipon M42 Nikon F adapter, where I had to remove some plastic coating to allow the mirror to come back down when shooting.
This is a so-called "infinity focus" adapter with class; I have not yet found this "infinity focus"

I'm wearing glasses and I frankly have a hard time focusing (examples below), so I would greatly appreciate some hints how to make using this lens easier and faster (Focusing screens? A new body? Change eyes?).

IMHO this lens is very good, I just need to focus easier than what I do now.

Some samples, hand-held, using LV (zoomed) for focusing and exposure control.
All photos processed using Phase One sw.

F4, trying to focus on the bee (I missed of course)

Happy! Wide open and decent focus.

DOF test at F22 and 2000 iso. Still no infinity, but boy did I try.

Finally I went home, picked up my tripod, a chair and my clamest son (he loves sitting in front of his PS3, so he's used to sitting still). Here's the result.

F4, tripod and LV focus (on the left eye). Bad background but lots of details.

Thanks in advance for your help.
