Understanding the difference between these two FX lenses?

I am very experienced in film photography and its equipment and I'm seeking to understand digital as well.

I'm looking at the difference between these two lenses when used on the D300s. In particular, I notice the "Format Compatibility" for one is listed as "FX/35mm Film
Nikon DX" and the other as "FX/35mm Film".

Why does one's "Format Compatibility" description include "Nikon DX" and the other does not?

Is there any difference I might notice in the way these two lenses operate or the images they produce?
