I do not agree there are no defective products.

I do however agree maybe as many as 99% of AF complaints are by photographers who post images confirming they have not learned to select AF detail to a good enough standard to get the best out of their equipment

Producing good quality photographs, or being good at sport or art, involves a little more than buying appropriate equipment. Practice, some learning and perhaps natural talent often play a bigger role than the equipment in your hands.
