And then there's IBIS

Unmentioned in the low light discussion is the incredible ability of IBIS to enable shooting at slower speeds.  With some friends shooting with Nikons, I shot inside a local Catholic Mission in very low light.  They used monopods or tripods with primes while I handheld with the 12-40 2.8, and we compared results later - mine were noticeably better by their own admission.

That allows lower ISO settings which improves DR, in my opinion that pretty much nullifies the sensor differences with the exception of the depth of field (which may favor m 4/3 or FF, depending on what you want.)

For weddings, shooting handheld really matters as well.
