Well... I will agree that CMOS is cheaper to produce and uses less energy. But from there -- I'm afraid -- our opinions differ

It isn't opinion...it is fact. The color difference you are seeing is to do with the CFA. That is easily profiled for with any camera.

Please cite your source. I'm always eager to learn something new.

Color profiling is common knowledge (no cited source needed). I can make my D800e look like an iphone if I want. One just has to look at what VSCO is doing for an example. Known color profiles can be (easily) mapped to others.

The fact that CCDs are noisier is also common knowledge.

What more do you need to know?

"No cited source needed"?!!?? I do not care the slightest no matter how right you may be. If you cannot produce one single source to back up what you say, your post is redundant waste of space and time. Please, stop posting.

Google camera raw profiling.

Google ccd vs cmos.

Is that enough for you....or did you hurt yourself from the weight of the chip on your shoulder?

Seriously...do you want me to cite references the jpgs are 8 or 16 bit?  Maybe you want citations that raw files need demosaicing as well.  Quit being obtuse.  I dont need citations that the earth rotates either...it is common knowledge...like ccd being noiser and cameras being profiled. If this is beyond your scope...it is you who should cease posting
