Where's the RX100 I/II/III competition?

It appears Sony engineers are too bright and too quick

I have mostly Canon gear (some Pana and Oly too and no Sony yet). But Sony is the real innovator and the compact camera king nowadays. It seems Sony is far ahead and the rest has trouble to follow

I haven't checked Sony colors and jpeg engine are on par with Canon, but for the rest tech-wise Sony is way ahead, it seems to me...
