I cant say I have ever seen an American movie the quality of the images of the 135mm, please do give some examples ?

If you don't know what tacky style I am referring to, you don't.

Anyway, It's the total opposite of the ideas that Welles (with the help of Toland) developed during the 1940s - advocated by Bazin, among others.
