Sorry, but I can't really follow your decision and preference logic and how one can prefer a GX7 over an E-M1 to an extend that the latter stays at home. The body size difference isn't that large. Honestly, if someone has a problem to carry an E-M1 to the field, I doubt, if a camera system (I.e. a camera with interchangeable lenses) is the right tool for him. I carry the E-M1 wherever I want and enjoy the superior ergonomics, which is even more important. The GM1 is a no go camera for me, as it is too small for a system camera and because there is no way to attach an EVF.

Also, again, I can't understand, how one can drop a camera because of the menu system, especially if the camera is designed to have almost no need to consult the menu, like the E-M1. Although it is preference, I think that the "bad" quality of the Olympus menu system is overrated. Having used and compared a lot of other manufacturer's menus, I think the Olympus menu system is no worse, in fact, to me it is a lot better than others (Sony, Canon, Fuji) And about on par with Panasonic. But Olympus menu system bashing without reasoning is very popular.

Anyway, if I buy a new camera, I know beforehand, what I buy. Thus, I won't never change a camera, because I don't like it or because I don't use it. I buy a new camera for the sake of a better view finder, better ergonomics, handling, and performance or better IQ (which is hardly the case nowadays).

Thomas... all well said... but let me add... that worst of all in such a post is the thoughtless conclusion that the IQ OLY - Pany is the same... and this forum is full of such thoughtless conclusions this made me a little more active in such a post... These posters acting silently in a daily basis... use to repeat in a number of different ways the same old things...
