Reaching the "Fire-and-forget" camera development?
1

It appears that, with auto focus, auto exposure, bracketing, including focus-bracketing, in-cam adjustment for the distortion by individual lenses, and the speed of processing each photo getting faster and faster, to say nothing of more millions of megapixels (for future cropping)......and with some cams shooting a series of stills, and picking what they think is the best one (on our behalf...)...

.... are we getting closer and closer to the "fire and forget" camera, in which we aim in the general direction of interest, and click the button...then get the end result with all these considerations being taken care of for us, and ending up with the good photo in the end. All we need to do will be to crop!

I'm referring to still pictures, not movies...

Just speculatin'....
