A6000 histogram display question

I looked at the A6000 in my Best Buy store yesterday and noticed something that was different from my nex7.  When changing the exposure compensation, the histogram disappeared from view.  As soon as I finished changing the exp. comp. the histogram reappeared.  On my nex 7 the histogram is always visible while altering the exp. comp.  Does anyone know if there is a setting on the A6000 that would be causing this?  And, is there any way to make it function like the nex 7?  It's not as fluid and intuitive on the A6000 compared to the nex 7.

Various reports seem to indicate that the sensor in the A6000 is better than the one in the nex 7 in terms of corner smearing and color cast.  If true, does that mean that my sel16 and sel1855 might perform slightly better on the A6000?

Thanks in advance.
