Whats the deal with the double size tiffs? Any point?

Hi Ollie,

Double size images are for those folks who like to print large. You can get the same from any editor by re-sizing (up-sampling) to 200%. As to which is 'better', I don't know because I don't print.

Personally, I always export full-size and do the re-sampling in my editor du jour. More and more, that would be RawTherapee because it works in 16-bit floating point and has true 'perceptual rendering' when converting from ProPhoto to sRGB color space.

P.S. not sure if RawTherapee is available for the Mac, but Iridient is probably almost as good.

For the true foveonista, anything but Adobe
