Trade up to Canon G1x Mark II from Canon G15?

I've been shooting Canon G series of cameras since Canon G3, and I a currently using G15 (along with 5D Mark III for more serious shooting). I always shoot in raw and use Adobe Lightroom for all post-processing.

I am considering replacing my trusty G15 with G1x Mark II, but I am not quite sure. I have not seen the Canon G1x Mark II in local stores, so all I have to go by is online reviews.

I am very happy with the G15 in all aspects - except noise at higher ISOs. Above ISO 1600, the G15 gets too noisy for me (and I need to use 5D for acceptable images).

Is the image quality sufficiently better on G1x M2 at higher ISO?

Given that G1x M2 costs more, is bulikier, and supposedly drains batteries faster, how much improvement should I expect? I looked online to compare the two side by side and I did see some improvement in image quality, but it's really hard to tell.

If anyone who upgraded from G15 to G1x M2 can share their experience, it would be helpful to make my decision.
