I'm using the RX1 for more than a year and I have a number of cameras and lenses including A99 and a900 and some zeiss and minolta prime lenses.

I highly recommend the optional electronic view finder for serious outdoor work.So you need to include that expensive extra into your calculation.

I'm shooting RAW and I'm using LR for PP

Since I use the RX1, 90% of my images are taken with this camera.

It produces images with outstanding quality.

And it has some features you are going to miss on other cameras:

1st size and weight matters

2nd high dynamic range

3rd high iso performance

4th Zeiss 35 f2

5th silent shutter (realy silent)

6th flash sync at shutter speed faster 1/1000 s

7th manual mode with auto iso and exposure compensation
