Not sure how you are using the S110; but if set the same as the G12, it should do better in low light because of the faster lens.  That's only going to be true at wide angle where the S100 is an f/2, and the G12 is f/2.8.  The S110 has a much slower lens at full zoom than the G12 does, so someplace in between they will "cross over" and have equal F#'s.  I've owned the G11 and G12 and thought it's low light capability was good; but not outstanding.  I also own the S95 which is quite similar to the S110 and find it does quite well in low light, and nearly as good as my G15.
