The X100 may have a larger sensor but it also has a slow lousy lens.

If you don't believe me do as I have and download the DPR studio RAW samples and compare.

When compared with the G15, XZ2, MX1, LX7 you will find the X100 is riddled with distortion, soft patches, CA and soft corners.

As for the huge superiority in high ISO I only see a slight improvement at 3200 and above. The elephant in the room is the huge drop in aperture size beyond the widest focal length, forcing the use of a much higher ISO. The LX7 in particular has a design masterpiece of a lens which should ensure no need to shoot beyond ISO 800-1600 with razor sharp corners.

Don't believe the hype.
