I'm finding this thread pretty hard to reconcile with things you said elsewhere. For example, this.

Would your son have gotten those results with an used Canon G11? And if not, then it seems that there was a rather good "point" in buying the A6000. Is it a game changer or is it pointless? Can't be both.

And what's with the "mirrorless"? Why isn't buying a SLR with a mediocre kit less equally pointless?

Just because someone is a valuable contributor doesn't mean they can't occasionally troll, and frankly this does smell very trollish.
