Virtually no V3's to buy in USA at the moment it seems

--My own V3 is due here today, on a UPS truck. And Ricardo is an honest contributor to this forum. The online merchandising structure is filled with uncertainty. I got two good lens deals from Big Value. Are they any less credible than an Amazon fulfiller "Electronic Basket"? Who can say with absolute certainty. I had my V3 when I saw the link here, three times, in the order box hedging about whether it was a good buy, being an open box. In the end I clicked on the complete order. I will know by today, if my hunch for this transaction was a good one. But panning or slandering someone's choices is disrespectful in the extreme, unwarranted, petty, and unprofessional. Keep the hissing where it belongs, out of the forum. Bias shouldn't substituted as fact and certainty....Just this members opinion.

I gave you thanks for the options, but apparently you decide to discredit and take wrong then why I am not jumping at them. Well that's your choice :-) I didn't mean to be "negative on you."
Lol...you of all folks wouldn't even make my list of pantie twisters... ;-) ...panty wearers list, yes, you would probably make that one...
For someone saying that you sure seem to have taken a very vested interest in bad faith with the commentary and characterizations :-)

Oh btw, a cursory search on the web on trust pilot revealed this:

"I have tried TrustPilot and ResellerRatings and ShopperApproved. And my experience was TERRIBLE with TrustPilot.

The service only 1/3 of the reviews we were receiving from ResellerRatings. And their technical support took days to bring back incomplete answers.

After spending too many hours of my time trying to improve the performance, I attempted to cancel my service. This was less than 30-day into it. And they referred me to their legal department because they refused to cancel.

Their contract allows for no cancellations. Even when the system does not perform as promised. Seems illegal to me.

After 17 years in ecommerce, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

This is dated February 2014.

Not that reseller ratings is all peachy- as they have an entire non-like FaceBook page dedicated to them, but I have used them since early days. Of course, if the issue is we can't trust any rating website reviews, my point still stands on not going with over priced, lack of fT1 bundle business I never have heard about :-)

Lol...you're a bit full of yourself Ricardo...and without a V3... ;-)
Yup, I am too full of myself for following my experience online and for doing research on the companies that I would order from, for not wanting a further overpriced V3, for wanting the Nikon approved FT1 bundle (not to be seen in your options), for not doing a choice *with my cash* that apparently is the one *you think* is appropriate- and finally for giving you thanks for digging for the options anyway. Yup. And you apparently taking all that personally :-)

You are right, I am too full of myself for all that :-) somehow...

And yeah no V3! I did touch one first though, so that makes me feel like a winner because I could not do any photography otherwise! Imagine that :-)

Mr Ichiro Kitao, I support the call to upgrade the FZ50.
I will not only buy one but two no questions asked...

I spoke with the folks at Gadget Circuit and they confirmed no FT-1 adapter, and the package is an Import, not US, so a definite no-go for me.

The people at ebasket confirmed via email that their package does not contain the FT-1, and all they will say is "manufacturer warranty", they will not directly answer the Import or US question, so again a no-go in my book.

I have not attempted to contact the BigValue folks, as I am too lazy today.

We can all pay our money and take our chances, but I am certainly not dealing with companies that are not forthcoming with information.

I may have a line on one at a store, trying to talk them into shipping to me, we will see how that works out.

Thanks again for looking these up, now if you can just fine me a US kit, with all the bits and pieces as shown on the Nikon site, that I can pick up this afternoon, well, heck, you will make an old guy happy for sure! :-)

The whinging started on you folks end not mine...whinging never solved anything...posting links to V3's was the objective of this thread...that's what I did in a positive respectfully manner in hopes to help others secure a V3...

Whinging about the posted links is what is VERY unprofessional, disrespectful, unthankful, unwarranted, and extremely petty don't you think?... ;-)

The links didn't need any commentary to be honest, they were posted without commentary as assistance...

In other words I am not the bad guy, I came to help out...

Believe you me, I will never post another link to a V3 here, Google is your friend... good luck with the hunt...

to see for most folks, sorry, but someone needed to mention it...
More folks with V3's today due to links provided, that was the objective to this thread...and it did happen...
Not quite, the objective is:

1. I wanted to whine
2. I wanted to whine loudly
3. I wanted to find a US model camera
4. I wanted to force Nikon to start shipping NOW ( fat chance bucko .... )

See my other post about the links being for Import cameras, or no meaningful response.

Other than that, no big deal, but since it is MY thread, I get to state the objectives, dang-it!!!!

;-)-;-) - for the humor impaired .....

Though I hate paying the early adopter tax, I put in an order w/ B and H and will wait.

The camera just has everything I want ( viewfinder, grip when I use it and pocketable w/o viewfinder if needed ) to go along w/ D600. From what I see here it has good enough IQ for my purposes as a backup and the chase the grandchild ability and on board video I could use.

So its bye bye d90 and wife's point and shoot (s8100) and hello V3...

B and H said they will honor any of the offers as of the time of order placement whenever the camera arrives ( eg, the" free" FT-1 adapter and the bundle discount on the 30-110 )

tick tock......

--It is a total gamble at this point. So much horse trading, between all the usual online suspects. Nikon, is not faultless but witless, and we eager customers must tread as we will. I took my leap because, I want to put this camera to "work". As the dam of desire develops cracks, more dribbles of units, kits, and V3 stock will be forthcoming. The entire market is fixed on rumor to heighten desire, pre-unit hands on reveals, to keep the frenzy going, until potential customers are led to slaughter against their better judgement. The world is awash on this entire premise of creating false hope and constant desire for the next greatest thing.

forgot---the flip out screen which has to be helpful...

Interestingly enough they don't say it's a grey market unit. :-) Reliable trusty guys indeed :-)

Really love that last sentence Rick. I expect legit kits to be here in a month. I can wait a month unless something better shows up (Olympus maybe) but I am not counting on it. If they don't have an electronic shutter, it's an automatic no go for me.

--Ricardo, would love to use my pending V3 for a portrait session with the new Fire Commissioner of New York, if only UPS would get their dam truck to my door. Like I said, I am not a "Poser", just a working pro as it were. I fully respect the Peepers, Raw Practitioners, and Purists in this Community, you very chiefly among them. I am just a shade tree mehanic in the photo trade. My expertise is in the social interaction, to get my subject to feel disarmed, compliant, relaxed and at ease. A big rig is ofter a bridge too far to make them comfortable amidst their own trepidation and pretense. We photographers must be social psychologists. It is a delicate balance to get a subject thinking they are in control, while you are conductor of the symphony. Luckily, my suave turn of a phrase, and gentle demeanor, hide my ridgid desire to get what I want in the end. The V3 is my next scapel on the operating table.

To all interested parties!!! Received my "Open Box" V3 via Electronics Basket/Amazon Reseller. In a word? Bullocks; Missing were the EVF and Grip, as clearly displayed at time of purchase. But, my mouth is as wide as the ocean, and after a lot of phone time with Anazon support, either I'm gonna get a refund or the rest of the missing goods. I clearly stated I would rip them a new Ahole on this forum and all across the vast span of time if they don't make good. Watch my smoke. Camera seems small, and wouldn't use it without the grip or EVF. I am dismayed, having to keep this thing in the box, but just more PO'd at the totally unscrupulous nature of all the scumbag resellers preying on honest buyers. Don't claim to have performed any public service here, but I am not a shrinking violet, and no one is gonna hose me and get away with it.

Cheers All

Rick, Sorry to hear this. Hope you get it sorted and the missing bits. What a bummer!

Well, yes, an immense hassle but believe me, asses will burn for this crap from Mellville, Long Island, to Bellvue, Washington. Amazing the smoke and mirrors that substitute for cold hard facts. Get this, Amazon claims they have no way of reaching this reseller, operating under their name, except by email...fing unbelievable....To be continued...as a bumpy ride is sure to follow.

See if you can get Amazon to sort this, at least a refund, as camera as received does not match description in their sponsored/backed listing!

Fully understand I wasn't real happy with Nikon having to send a $1100 camera back twice for same repair that wash't ever properly repaired in the first place...took two months...lol...funny now, but not funny at all at the time...

Electronics Basket LLC are not hard to reach, my 10-100 VR Nikon 1 Lens arrived April 24, been using it this trip out west, no problems, original box, accessories, works perfect...receive a TG850 Olympus from them like new, still using it as well...couple battery chargers as well still working perfectly...

I talked to a young lady there...
