Choices for Go-To Settings
1

As I get more comfortable with the X-S1, whenever possible I like to turn the dial to a standard setting and then not think too much about it. I'm interested what others use as their basic "go to" setting (doesn't have to be just for the X-S1). Here are mine.

C1

JPEG
Shutter Priority
Size:  M (4:3)
ISO:   AUTO (800)  I keep experimenting with this one
Bracketing:  DR
Metering:  Spot
Film sim:  Provia
Sharpness:  STD
Highlight/Shadow:  Soft
NR:  Mid Low
AF: Area
Flash: -2/3
AF-S
IS  Continuous
AE/AF-Lock Mode  S
AE/AF Lock Button  AE only
Color Space Adobe RGB (not that I"ve seen it makes any difference)

C2 (BW)
Monochrome + R
(small changes in bracketing, etc. and ISO AUTO (3200) )

C3 still switching around among these
--C1 settings with average metering instead of spot
--C1 with STD camera settings for shadow, noise and with Bracketing Film Sim or Burst mode and AF tracking

Or turn dial to:

ADV Mode switch between keeping it at Panorama 180 or Pro Low Light

or

EXR Mode: SN
