Better zoom for my 60D

I want a better tele zoom lens for my Canon 60D, I currently owns a Canon EF-S 55-250 4.0-5.6 IS II. It will primarily be used at the Zoo.

I've found a few alternatives:

Tamron AF 70-200 2,8 Di SP Macro - ~500 €
Tamron AF 70-300 4-5.6 Di SP VC USD - ~310 €
Canon EF 70-200 4 L USM - ~580 €
Canon EF 70-300 4.0-5.6 IS USM - ~400 €

The 70-200 ones looks nicer, but the lack of IS worries me, especially the Tamron one because of its weight. Ideally I would by a 70-200 with IS but it's out of my budget.

Will the 70-300 be better than the current one? They should be considering the 55-250 IS II cost less than 150 €. Is there any other alternatives? I'm really lost, I've read so much forum thread/reviews and watched a lot of youtube videos.

I'm leaning towards the Tamron 70-300...
