Aerial still (and maybe video photography) using Quadcopter or such question?

I have a GoPro Hero3 (Black Edition) and wanting to try some aerial photography using the interval timer and maybe some aerial video. I've looking at the Quadcopter with the GoPro mount from B&H

Question(s) for all those that do aerial photography and have the quadcopter:

  •  How hard is it to fly the quadcopter from some one that hasn't had any remote control flying, ZERO experience.
  •  Would you recommend this product for a beginner? or just get one of the cheaper types such as the X4 H107C-HD Quadcopter with 2MP Video Camera with built-in camera to start. The quality might be as good but at least it will not be a big loss in case I crashed it.

Any suggestions, advice, recommendations etc. regarding on how to fly such a thing is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
