Re: D610 recommended, however EM1 is also very good for use

The D610 with its impressive DXOmark for low light and larger sensor will always allow better low light images/low noise with the right glass, and great post processing for exposure correction latitude. That said the EM1 plus the 2 Panasonics F2.8 constant zoom lens (useful for lowlight weddings) which are very sharp helps to make performance much closer by comparison. I still think there is more dynamic range in the D610 (plus less noise) so less blowout in highlights and better shadow detail than the m43 sensors when the outdoor lighting gets sunny and very contrasty.

If you are know your photography skills very well by pro standards with properly exposed shooting techniques the EM1 would work as main camera with good glass (and some people are using for weddings as main camera as another response mentioned), however D610 has its advantages in very dim lighting and post editing.

Unfortunately also, the public usually sees the size of the camera and lens and equates with a pro shooter, however, times are a changing with pro m43 being accepted more and more for pro as main bodies.

Also, the Panasonic GH3 has been used a lot at weddings by pro videographers as will the GH4.

So simply matter of choice.

Do not get the D600 unless they replaced the mechanical shutter. I would recommend the D610 (or perhaps EM1 if you are experienced photographer).
