I've never used focus peaking because my E-M5 doesn't have it, but magnification is a great tool for MF. I set the function 2 button with it on and it works great.

There is a hack to get focus peaking (or kind of) on some Olympus PENs. I have it working on my E-PM2. http://www.43rumors.com/how-to-fake-an-e-m5-peaking-mode/

Also you don't need to shoot raw to benefit from it.  I attached the Art filter + magnification to my function button.  I hold the function button and get the "focus peaking" and before taking the shot I release the button so I go back to a normal shot once my focus is set.  Works very well with manual lenses I tried with or even AF lenses in manual mode.
