I think a gifted photographer will be fine with either. However, if you're not the greatest photographer FF shallow DOF will help the images stand out. There's no equivalent to a 70-200 f2.8 in terms of DOF and when it's backed up by a sensor that is 2 stops better in low light than anything in MFT you have a very versatile combination. There are two advantages to MFT, first is price (although the EM1 is not cheap) and the other is size/weight. Everything else is advantage Nikon including the dual card slots which is nice for piece of mind. If it were me I'd want the best tool for the job and IMO that is the D610.
