Hi, I'm traveling to New York for the summer and I would really like some insight on a new camera. I know absolutely nothing about cameras other than to click the button and snap a shot but I would say I'm a quick learner. I'm in the price range of 100-300 dollars so I was really interested in the Canon F-1 which looks very nice but all the reviews I've read online and on YouTube use photography lingo I don't understand. Some nice answers that would be approached is:
Does anyone still use these? (pretty old)
Does this camera need a specific film to take photos, and do they still make this film? Or not film?
Could these photos be uploaded to a computer in some way other than a scanner? I'm still looking for hard copies of my photos since that's what my mom prefers.
Is this a beginner recommended camera?
If I sounded like an idiot with any of these questions is because I am, I know NOTHING about cameras. Thanks anyone willing to help out.
