How to decrease min focus distance? extension tubes or

I'm trying to shoot a small space ship model, and need a point of view that is only 4" - 6" inches from the closest point of the 10" long model. The model is shown in this illustration as the three large ships.

I'm estimating that I'd ideally want a 24mm angle of view, but have that close a focal point.  I'm shooting MANY pics of the same model angle from front focal plane to rear, and combining in Photoshop's autoblend mode for sharpness throughout (which is amazing).  Anyway, is it possible to get what I'm after with canon's extension tube ef25 ii or ef 12 ii, or the 500D closeup lens filter, or do they also narrow the angle of view while lowering min focal distance?

Thanks for any help....

Dave
