G1XII sticky step ring movement - normal?
Just received my G1XII from Amazon, and noticed right away that the inner step ring movement gets rather sticky & difficult to move for a portion of its cycle. I marked the ring with a small piece of tape, and notice that it gets sticky at two opposing positions (i.e. 0 and 180 degrees) in a full revolution. In the sticky regions it's a little difficult to get it into the detent positions.
In the good regions, it's very nice and fluid movement, and I have no problem stopping in the detents.
Has anyone else noticed this? Not sure what the "state-of-the-art" is with this type of camera, and don't relish the hassle of exchanging. But, for $800....
Thanks for any input you can provide.
