auto fine tuning
I hate to ask probably a simple question that I think I might have the answer, but want to confirm my thought.
Can a manual focus lens be auto focus fine tuned so that the dot appears when the lens is in focus if the lens is not a cpu lens? I just bought a used Zeiss 100mm lens that has no contacts with the camera and is back focusing so that the dot does not match when in focus. I have to turn the focusing ring slightly until the left arrow lights up and that is about where the lens is in focus. Of course the lousy focusing screens are a poor tool for manual focus ugh!!!!
I can focus in live view by magnifying the image, then taking an image and it is in beautiful focus. Then if I switch off the live view and look in the viewfinder the left arrow is lit up.
I guess I don't want the lens if it is back focusing and I can not adjust it.
