Please help picking lenses for D7100

Hello all, I am tormented trying to pick lenses for my D7100 I am thinking to buy. I am switching to DSLR from point-n shoot and decided that D7100 will be a great camera to "grow" into. I generally photograph kids and action in low light/competitions and such. I also like to photograph landscapes. Now onto my question. According to Thom 24 pixel cameras require higher level lenses. I would like to find out some opinions from people that use D7100 as too what lenses are practical without breaking the bank too much. Here are some of potential choices I have so far. Trying ot stay away from superzooms although it is an attractive "convenience" choice

1. Famed Nikon 35 mm 1.8G or 50 mm 1.4 D for low light/action and 70-300 VR (either nikon or tamron) for landscapes. Is Tamron really much sharper across the range than Nikon?

2. Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 and 70-300 VR but is Sigma good enough in low light action?

3. NIkon 16-85

4. The most expensive option (refurb or used 24-120 f4 Nikon).

Thanks
