Sharper stopped down a bit

One thing you can see from the review on slrgear.com

is that this lens gets sharper stopped down a bit. This can have an impact on your close-ups in that you can't really control depth of field as much as you normally would, at least not without giving up sharpness.

In the test I mentioned above (where I mainly did the test with the IR body to test infrared, but then also on the non IR camera just to see), I tested at f 5.6 on all the lenses. This is probably a weak point for this lens at longer focal lengths, where it really needs to be stopped down.

I don't mean to be obnoxious by suggesting an expensinve lens, but the Olympus 60 f2.8 is the nicest macro lens ever. I've done a lot of macro photography, in the past with some classic and well regarded Nikkor macro lens. This Olympus 60 macro lens is just stupendously fantastic.
